IPL 2023: Chahar picks between Kohli and Rohit

CSK continues their winning run after defeating DC by 27 runs on Wednesday at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. While Chennai star pacer Deepak Chahar shone with the ball after picking two crucial wickets in his three overs spell.

The David Warner-led team could only reach a total of 140/8 in response to MS Dhoni-led team's 167/8. Recently, Chahar was asked to pick between Kohli and Rohit as his favourite wicket being a bowler at an event.

The CSK pacer said: "I have got Rohit Bhai many times. So, Virat Kohli,"

Meanwhile, in the match against DC, the 30-year-old was excellent with the ball as he sent back Warner for a duck in his 1st over.

The Agra-born cricketer returned to bowl his 3rd over and picked up dangerous Philip Salt to give Delhi 2nd blow in the powerplay. Following the early blows, DC were always behind in the game and faltered against some top-notch bowling by CSK.

Chahar recently made a return to IPL 2023 during Chennai's fixture against Lucknow Super Giants. The Uttar Pradesh-born seamer recently recovered from his hamstring issue which he suffered against MI.

Deepak recently, revealed that he's still not 100 per cent fit but is still trying to contribute to his team. In the six games that he's played so far in the tournament, Chahar has picked four wickets at an average of 45.25 and a strike rate of 9.52.

Meanwhile, CSK have retained their second spot on the IPL points table with seven wins from 12 games having 15 points. They will next face Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday, May 14, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
