Torino moved into the top half of Italy's Serie A on Sunday following a 1-0 win over Inter Milan courtesy of defender Armando Izzo's deflected header. Izzo rose highest following a corner to send a looping header over Samir Handanovic courtesy of a deflection off Danilo D'Ambrosio. Inter should have taken the lead after just four minutes, but Lautaro Martinez shot wide with Matteo Politano narrowly off target after the break. Politano was then shown a red card by referee Fabio Maresca with four minutes remaining after going to ground without contact as Inter pressed for an equaliser. Torino moved into the top half in 10th place with 30 points, while Inter remained in third with 40.
