Football News: Serie A forward’s asking price revealed as Man United pursuit continues

Manchester United would reportedly have to pay around £62 million to capture Atalanta BC center-forward Rasmus Hojlund. The 20-year-old joined Atalanta from Sturm Graz last August and has been in fine form for the Italian club this season.

So far, the Serie A forward has scored eight goals and provided three assists in 27 games. The Denmark international also has a hat-trick to his name which he registered against Finland last month.

The striker's future is now being discussed, with a number of clubs rumoured to be interested in signing him this summer. According to a recent report, Manchester United has a 'clear interest' in his talents,

While they might face stiff competition from Chelsea and Bayern Munich, who have both been connected with the forward. According to Corriere Della Sera, Atalanta will not let the teenager leave this summer unless they receive a bid around £62 million.

When it comes to his future, the Dane's Italian club are in a strong position, as he signed a five-year contract last summer.

Hojlund began his professional career with Copenhagen, where he spent two years in the first squad before joining Sturm Graz, where he scored 12 goals and registered four assists in 21 games.

Man United will acquire at least one new striker this summer, as the club has yet to replace Cristiano Ronaldo, who left at the end of last season.

WoutWeghorst has been a regular since joining on loan from Burnley in January, but the Dutch international seems unlikely to join the Red Devils permanently.

Anthony Martial has also struggled with fitness issues this season, and there has been much conjecture over the Frenchman's future at Old Trafford.

However, Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag has stated that he wants to keep Martial this summer, citing him as an essential member of the group.

Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane and Napoli's Victor Osimhen have also been linked with moves to Old Trafford, but both are expected to cost around £100 million.

Meanwhile, Kolo Randal Muani of Eintracht Frankfurt and Goncalo Ramos of Benfica are reported to be on Man United's shortlist for the summer transfer window.
