Football News: Real Madrid handed chance to sign Harry Kane

Real Madrid are reportedly considering making a bid for Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane.

Spurs are now in disarray both on and off the pitch, with the latter owing to the club's ability to qualify for the Europa Conference League only if results go their way this weekend.

Furthermore, the North Londoners are now without a permanent head coach and sporting director, with the most recent development in the latter being a rejection from Feyenoord's Arne Slot.

Regardless of who eventually takes over at Spurs, chairman Daniel Levy must deal with the possibility of Kane's contract expiring in 2024.

With no Champions League action on the horizon in the near future, it becomes increasingly improbable that the club's all-time leading scorer would sign new terms.

Complicating matters is Levy's alleged unwillingness to sell to a Premier League team, where Kane would ideally love to stay in order to achieve his goal to win trophy and break new records.

While Manchester United remains a possibility, it appears that an opportunity for the 29-year-old to spend the next portion of his career in Spain may materialise.

An intermediary has contacted Real Madrid to inquire about their interest in the England captain, according to Cadena Ser.

Although Real Madrid will eventually need to replace Karim Benzema, it was reported early this year that Real authorities were opposed to making big-money additions this summer.

Real Madrid are thought to have made progress in their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham, who is expected to cost more than £100 million.

The conclusion of such a deal may lower the likelihood of Kane transferring to La Liga, but Eden Hazard may be used as a makeweight, according to the same report.

Despite the fact that the former Belgian international has stated on multiple occasions that he and his family are established in Madrid and have no plans to leave before 2024.

Hazard, on the other hand, spent seven years with Chelsea before joining Real Madrid as a periphery member of Carlo Ancelotti's squad.
