Football: Juventus up to third in Serie A after beating Parma 3-1

Juventus moved up to third in the Serie A table on Wednesday after coming from behind to seal a 3-1 win against relegation struggling Parma. After Cristiano Ronaldo was well denied in the opening stages, the visitors took the lead 25 minutes into the match when Grazione Pelle's free kick found its way into the bottom corner. However Juventus responded well with Alex Sandro scoring a brace, before Matthijs de Ligt added a third to send the Old Lady up to third in the table - a point above Atalanta though having played one game more. Parma are 19th, ten points adrift of safety. Juventus chairman and vice-chairman of the failed European Super League project Andrea Agnelli watched on from the stands.
