Defending champions Johor Darul Ta'zim defeated Kuala Lumpur 4-1 on Friday for their second straight victory in the Malaysian Super League. Johor struck first just before the break when they were awarded a penalty - Gonzalo Cabrera beat goalkeeper Sharbinee Allawee from the spot to give his side a 1-0 lead. Syafiq Ahmad then made it 2-0 in the 52nd minute, before Brazilian forward Diogo made it 3-0 with his first goal for the club seven minutes later.
