Football: Perak and Kedah draw 1-1 in Malaysian Super League

Kedah and Perak played to a 1-1 draw in front of a packed crowd in Ipoh on Friday night in the Malaysian Super League. Perak opened the scoring in the 18th minute through a stunning volley from former Sydney FC man Brendan Gan. But only took two minutes for the visitors to equalise with Renan Alves grabbing his first goal in Kedah colours. Leandro dos Santos' header rattled the crossbar in the 79th minute for Perak. Then Amirul Azhan made a goal-line clearance to deny Kedah's Fernando Rodriguez three minutes from stoppage time, as the match ended level.
