Britain's Simon Yates came home alone to win Stage 15 of the Tour de France in a summit finish at Foix Prat d'Albis on Sunday, as yellow jersey wearer Julian Alaphilippe showed signs of vulnerability and lost time on his rivals. Alaphilippe trailed in 11th at the end of the category one climb to the finish, a minute and 49 seconds behind Yates, who also won Stage 12. But more importantly the Frenchman lost time on his closest rivals - he now leads the reigning champion, Geraint Thomas, by a minute and 35 seconds (down from 2:02), with Dutchman Steven Kruijswijk and and another home rider, Thibaut Pinot, who finished second on the day, a further 12 and 15 seconds back respectively. Alaphilippe can put his feet up for a bit though - the Pyrenees are now out of the way and Monday is a rest day.
