Yamaha's Maverick Vinales claimed pole ahead of the Austrian Grand Prix after finishing 0.068 seconds ahead of Ducati-Pramac's Jack Miller. Vinales, who sits second in the overall standings, recorded the quickest lap of one minute, 23.450 seconds, with championship leader Fabio Quartararo less than a second adrift in third.
