Nissan e.dams' Oliver Rowland secured pole position for the Berlin E-Prix on Wednesday, as the top four drivers all failed to set qualifying times, ahead of Robin Frijins (Envision Virgin Racing) and Neel Jani (#18 - TAG Heuer Porsche) in third position. Nissan teammate Sebastian Buemi, new ABB FIA Formula E Champion Antonio Felix da Costa (DS Techeetah), Jean-Eric Vergne (DS Techeetah) and Lucas di Grassi (Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler) all miscalculated their out-laps and tripped over each other, putting the clock back to zero and the quartet at the back of the grid for the penultimate race of the season.
