Motorsport News : Ryan Wing soars to victory in annual Car Jumping Championships

British motorsport fans were treated to some spectacular Banger Racing action in the village of Angmering on Sunday as the annual Car Jumping Championship took place near the West Sussex coast. A lot of this season's actual racing has had to take place behind closed doors due to coronavirus restrictions, but here a sizeable crowd were allowed to witness a series of brave drivers test their nerve and their vehicles against a row of nine cars arranged side-by-side. Each attempt was judged on elevation, distance and reception from the crowd. There wasn't much on offer for the winner apart from braging rights - 50 UK pounds (US$ 71.2), but Ryan Wing, a security guard from Dartford in Kent showed how it was done as he soared to victory. "I thought it was going to be a lot worse," he admitted as he picked up the trophy.
