Former world number one Caroline Wozniacki picked up her third title of the season with her 30th singles title on Sunday, a 6-3, 6-3 success over Anastasija Sevastova of Latvia in the final of the China Open. From 2-2 in the opening set, the 28 year-old Dane won four of the next five games to take it 6-3. Another run of four games out of five gave Wozniacki a 4-1 lead in the second, but at that point she seemed to falter, allowing Sevastova to break back and close to 3-4. Somehow Wozniacki saved three break points in the next game to hold for 5-3 and Sevastova's resistance ebbed away. The number two seed completed a straight sets win in the following game on her third match point and a second China Open title was hers, eight years after her first. Sevastova committed 35 unforced errors over the course of the match and converted just one of eight break points.
