Basketball: Zalgiris ease to 93-78 win over Panathinaikos in EuroLeague

Zalgiris Kaunas eased to a 93-78 victory over Panathinaikos in their EuroLeague match in Kaunas, Lithuania, on Thursday. The hosts dominated the match from the opening term, with a 10-0 spurt in the first 10 minutes giving them their initial edge. They went on to lead by 13 points at the first break, although a flurry of three pointers from both sides saw Panathinaikos pull their deficit back to five points when the dust had fallen for half time. Zalgiris didn't seem threatened however, opening out their lead to 14 points by the final break and sweeping Panathinaikos away in the final quarter. Lukas Lekavicius top scored for the hosts with 20 points, closely followed by Thomas Walkup with 18 and Rokas Jokubaitis with 10.
