Tennis: Thiem beats Cuevas in four sets to advance to French Open last-16

Fourth seed Dominic Thiem beat Pablo Cuevas 6-3, 4-6, 6-2, 7-5 on Saturday to advance to the last 16 of the French Open. The 2018 runner-up has reached the last four in each of the last three years at Roland Garros. Thiem will next face 14th-seeded Gael Monfils, who advanced with a comfortable straight-sets victory over fellow Frenchman Antoine Hoang.
