Tennis: Muguruza sees off Stephens in meeting of Slam champions

Garbine Muguruza beat Sloane Stephens in the battle of the Grand Slam champions in the first round of the Italian Open. The Spaniard won 6-3 6-3 to set up a last-32 encounter with Coco Gauff. Mugurza needed five set points to wrap up the opener, but had the better of the second set, in what was ultimately a comfortable victory.
