Tennis: French Open could be behind closed doors - tennis chief

French tennis federation president Bernard Giudicelli suggested that 2020 French Open could be played behind closed doors due to the coronavirus pandemic. Giudicelli said, “organising it behind closed doors would allow part of the business model - television rights - to go ahead. We haven't ruled out any option. Roland Garros is first and foremost a story of matches and players.” The French Open, second Grand Slam on the tennis calendar, has already been rescheduled from May to September. The 2020 Wimbledon Championships have been cancelled and a decision on the 2020 US Open will be taken in June.
