Football: Myanmar and Vietnam draw 0-0 in AFF Championship

Vietnam had a chance to open the scoring in the 36th minute, but (20) Phan Van Duc was denied by the woodwork. In the 49th minute, Vietnam had another opportunity when (8) Nguyen Trong Hoang's shot was mishandled by Myanmar goalkeeper Kyaw Zin Htet, but before Vietnam could pounce on the ball, Myanmar defender (24) Won Moe Kyaw cleared it away. In the 76th minute, Vietnam appeared to have scored when substitute (9) Nguyen Van Toan knocked in a rebound, the goal was however disallowed for offside. Neither side could find a way through as the match ended in a 0-0 draw. The result leaves Myanmar and Vietnam level on seven points at the top of Group A, third place Malaysia are just behind with six.
