Wrestling News: National camp for women wrestlers beings at SAI centre in Lucknow

After much delay and anticipation, the national camp for women wrestlers has finally began at the SAI centre in Lucknow where 15 wrestlers in five Olympic weight categories along with chief coach Kuldeep Yadav, coach Sahil Sharma, physiotherapist Dhirendra Pratap Singh and masseuse Jagroshni were named for the camp by the Wrestling Federation of India. Vinesh Phogat (53kg) and Divya Kakran (68kg) have already joined the camp with other wrestlers but Rio Olympic bronze medallist Sakshi Malik (62kg) and three other wrestlers are yet to join the camp and are expected soon at the arena. A few wrestlers including Tokyo-bound Vinesh had requested the WFI to allow their personal staff to accompany them in the camp and the federation has already accepted their request.
