The Indian women's hockey team have pulled off one of the greatest upsets as they have beaten the mighty Australians 1-0 to enter semi-finals of Tokyo Olympics. India held onto their lead through Gurjit Kaur who scored via drag flick through a penalty corner in the second quarter and the defence stood tall to maintain the lead till the very end. India's defence stood tall as goal-keeper Savita Punia saved many penalty corners and the defenders also cleared the ball. This is Indian women's team's first ever Olympic semi-final. This a historic and a proud moment for Indian hockey as no one expected them to beat mighty Aussies and reach the semi-final.
