But, despite 5-1 down, Rafa didn’t give up the hope of victory and staged a remarkable comeback which according to Nadal happens very seldom. Refusing to give up, Nadal’s fighting spirit saw him win the match 6-7(3), 6-3, 7-6(4) and keep his hopes of a first ATP Finals title alive. Rafa’s win has repercussions on world no. 2 Novak Djokovic dream of topping the ATP rankings as well now. Djokovic now has to win the title in order to end the year as world number one in the ATP rankings.
