Tennis News : Norrie advances to Lyon Open final after 6-1, 6-1 win over Khachanov

Cameron Norrie eased past eighth seed Karen Khachanov to book his place in the final of the Lyon Open on Saturday, losing just two games along the way. Briton Norrie, who had concluded his rain-interrupted quarter-final against Arthur Rinderknech earlier in the day, needed just one hour and seven minutes to complete a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Russian Khachanov. It was the pair's third meeting of the year, with Norrie coming out on top in Lyon and Barcelona after losing to Khachanov in Rotterdam. World number 49 Norrie, a Lyon Open semi-finalist in 2018, will look to clinch a maiden ATP Tour singles title when he faces second seed Stefanos Tsitsipas in Sunday's final. It will be Norrie's second singles final of the year, following a three sets defeat to Albert Ramos-Vinolas at the Estoril Open in Portugal at the start of May.
