Tennis News : Nadal delighted as his statue is inaugurated ahead of French Open

Rafael Nadal says he is honoured to have a statue at Roland Garros, which was unveiled on Thursday. The three-meter tall sculpture was created by Jordi Diez Fernandez along with a bust of French aviator Roland Garros, after whom the clay court venue is named. They were unveiled as long-awaited renovations of the venue were completed this week. Many tennis fans have complemented the work of the artist, however not all responses have been positive. Some described the statue of Nadal screaming while in mid stroke, as terifying. The world No.3 is preparing his campaign for a record-extending 14th French Open title.
