Johanna Konta has withdrawn from Wimbledon on the eve of the tournament following a positive Covid test by one of her team. The 30-year-old, who was seeded 27th, was due to play against Katerina Siniakova in the first round on Tuesday. The news is a blow for Konta who won her first WTA title in four years in Nottingham earlier this month. She was hoping to further that success at Wimbledon, where she reached the semi-finals in 2017. Konta is the second player to withdraw from Wimbledon, following Denmark's Frederik Nielsen, who pulled out on Saturday after his coach test positive.
