He lost the opener 6-4, but then started moving better aND FINDING HIS RANGE. Federer took the second set 6-4 - and then found himself 4-2 up in the decider, playing at the very top of his game. But that's when the his match fitness was really put to the test, and he ran out of steam as the world number 75 Spaniard won the next four games to advance.
