Eight seed Matteo Berrettini of Italy defeated world number 77 Federico Delbonis of Argentina 7-6 (7-4), 6-4 on Thursday to get through to the Madrid Open quarter-finals, where the Italian will face 16th-seeded Cristian Garin of Chile.
