Tennis: Kerber knocks out by Pavlyuchenkova to reach Australian Open quarter-finals

Australian Open is all set to welcome a new women’s singles champion as Angelique Kerber was defeated in the fourth round in Melbourne Park. Kerber, the last remaining previous winner in the draw, lost to 30th-seeded Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova 6-7 (5-7), 7-6 (4-7), 2-6. Pavlyuchenkova will face Garbine Muguruza in the quarter-finals of the Australian Open.
