Tennis: Federer says he will play at 2020 Tokyo Olympics 'if healthy'

Roger Federer, a 20-time Grand Slam champion and gold medallist in the men's doubles competition at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, confirmed on Monday that will plan to compete at the 2020 Games "if healthy". The Swiss great made the announcement after he defeated American John Isner 6-3, 7-6 in an exhibition match in Tokyo - the city which will host next year's Olympics. Federer, who missed the 2016 Olympics in Rio with a knee injury, has represented Switzerland at four other Olympiad - Sydney in 2000, Athens in 2004, Beijing in 2008 and London in 2012. The 38-year-old's best singles finish at the Olympics was a silver medal in the 2012 Games, where he lost in straight sets to Great Britain's Andy Murray in the final.
