Tennis: Federer donates to Swiss families amid Covid-19 pandemic

Roger Federer has donated around $ 1 million to aid Switzerland’s fight against coronavirus. The 20-time Grand Slam singles winner expressed his hope that others might join in supporting those in need. In a statement on Twitter, Federer said: "These are challenging times for everyone and nobody should be left behind. Mirka and I have personally decided to donate one million Swiss Francs for the most vulnerable families in Switzerland. Our contribution is just a start.
