Table Tennis News: India TT player Harmeet Desai speaks ahead of Tokyo Olympics preparations

India’s table tennis player Harmeet Desai said that lack of tournaments will make it a challenging task for the Indian side to qualify for the marquee event, the Tokyo Olympics. This is to be recalled that India missed out on securing Olympic berth via team event at last world qualifiers and according to the Olympic qualification norms, only two Indian male players can qualify for the Tokyo Games in the singles category, thus making it even more competitive amongst the Indian paddlers as three of them including Harmeet Desai, G Sathiyan and Achanta Sharath Kamal are in the fray and only two of them will get a chance to play at the Tokyo Games which are scheduled for the next year.
