Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation through the 80th edition of his monthly radio programme 'Mann Ki Baat'. The prime minister hailed the youth of the country for leading innovation and excelling in sports as he began his address with a tribute to Indian field hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand on his birth anniversary which is also observed as 'National Sports Day' in the country. The Prime Minister believes that this time, the Olympics have created a major impact. Powersportz has urged the Prime Minister to give hockey and legend Major Dhyan Chand its due and officially declare it as country's 'National Sport'.
