Paralympic News : Avani Lekhara wins 2nd medal at Tokyo Paralympics

India's Avani Lekhara bags her second medal at the ongoing Tokyo Paralympics by winning a bronze medal in women's 50m Rifle 3 Positions SH1 event. The 19-year-old who had become the first Indian woman to win gold at the Paralympics by finishing on top of the podium in the women's 10 M Air Rifle standing SH1 event, made more history with a third-place finish in the 50m Rifle 3 Positions event. She also became the first Indian woman to win two medals at a single edition of the Paralympics. Avani Lekhara is the second Indian Paralympian after Joginder Singh Sodhi to win multiple medals in Paralympics winning one silver and two bronze medals in 1984.
