Hockey News : Manpreet Singh nominated for FIH 'Player of the Year' award

The Indian men's hockey captain Manpreet Singh is nominated for the Player of the Year award by the Federation of International Hockey. Manpreet played a crucial role in leading the team to a berth at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics this year. Vivek Prasad and Lalremsiami are nominated for the men's and women's FIH Rising star of the year awards respectively. The 19-year-old Vivek Prasad is named as the best young player at the FIH Series Finals earlier in the year. He also led the Indian team to a silver medal at the 2018 Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Forward Lalremsiami nominated for the women's FIH Rising star of the year awards.
