Hockey News: India stun Australia 3-1 in penalty shootout

The repeat encounter between two global giants of field hockey, India and Australia, produced exciting stuff in the later part of the second quarter. Three beautiful goals were struck in the space of five minutes. It's Trent Mitton who broke the deadlock after the barren first quarter. His grounder from the right side of the circle found the cage despite Krishan Pathak was covering acute angle. Some way it was a soft goal. However, Indians could manage many of Australia's penalty corners, thanks to first on charger Amit Rohidoss and Harmanpreet Singh. In the first half, field umpire's goal did not survive captain Manpreet Singh's referral.
