Football: Udinese beat 10-man Roma 2-0 in Serie A

Roma's crisis deepened as Paulo Fonseca's players were beaten 2-0 at home by lowly Udinese for their second straight defeat in Serie A. Kevin Lasagna in the first half and Ilija Nestorovski in the second were Udinese's scorers, while Roma captain Diego Perotti left his team-mates in 10 after 33 minutes when he was rightly red-carded following a dangerous foul on Rodrigo Becao. Despite the defeat, Roma remain fifth in the table, but the gap to fourth-place Atalanta, who beat Napoli earlier on the day, amounts now to 12 points with nine matches left to play. Thanks to their win over Roma, Udinese are now six points above the relegation zone.
