Roma could have a new maestro on their hands after youngster Nicolo Zaniolo scored his first goal for the club in a 3-1 win over Sassuolo. It was the game's standout strike at the Stadio Olmpico and a first in Roma colours for the 19-year-old who joined from Serie A rivals Inter Milan in June. Roma had earlier taken a 2-0 lead courtesy of a eighth minute penalty from Diego Perotti before Patrik Schick doubled the hosts' advantage with only his second goal of the season. Zaniolo then put the game beyond doubt just before the hour mark when he raced onto Cenigz Under's pass before cutting inside his marker and lofting the ball over goalkeeper Andrea Consigli and defender Gianmarco Ferrari. Victory moves Roma up to seventh with 27 points with the visitors in 11th place with 25 points.
