Football: Qatar 2022 World Cup to be played across November-December

Secretary-General of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (SC), Hassan Al-Thawadi, said he 'genuinely believed' Qatar 2022 "will be the first global celebration where will collectively have overcome COVID" as FIFA released the match schedule for the first World Cup to be played across November-December. The 2022 World Cup will open with four games every day in a 12-day group stage and some matches that go into extra time will extend past midnight in Qatar.
