Bayern Munich head coach Thomas Tuchel reportedly met with England captain Harry Kane at his residence to explore a possible summer transfer to the Bundesliga winners.
Kane's future at Tottenham Hotspur is still out in the air, despite the fact that he has less than a year remaining on his contract.
The 29-year-old was once again in terrific form for Spurs during the 2022-23 season, scoring 32 goals in all competitions, 30 of which came in the Premier League.
However, because Tottenham finished eighth in the Premier League table, there will be no European football at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in 2023-24.
Manchester United have identified Kane as their top summer target, although Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is unlikely to allow a deal to a domestic rival.
Real Madrid were also connected with his talents following the departure of Karim Benzema, but it is currently anticipated that Los Blancos will not make an official approach for the Englishman.
Bayern Munich appear to be the frontrunners for the forward, with the German giants already thought to have failed with an opening bid of £60 million.
There have been reports that Bayern Munich might be willing to pay up to £80 million for Kane, though it remains to be seen whether Tottenham will agree to trade their top player.
Tuchel recently saw Kane in his London home to discuss the prospect of joining him at Allianz Arena, according to Bild.
According to German journalist Christian Falk, the Tottenham attacker told Tuchel that winning the Champions League with Bayern would be appealing to him.
Tuchel is thought to have been in London with Bayern sports director Hasan Salihamidzic, with the German champions trying hard to sign the Three Lions captain.
Kane is Tottenham's all-time record goalscorer with 280, and he recently became England's all-time best striker, scoring 58 times in all competitions.
However, the forward has yet to win a trophy at the senior level, and if he stays with Tottenham this summer, he will have to spend at least one season outside of Europe.
Meanwhile, Kane is chasing the Premier League scoring record, currently sitting second on 213 with Alan Shearer at the top on 260.
