PSV Eindhoven bounced back from their 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Feyenoord last time out, with a hard-fought 2-1 win at Go Head Eagles on Wednesday. An entertaining fixture at De Adelaarshorst saw both sides go on the immediate attack. Cody Gakpo put the visitors ahead after 14 minutes. The Eagles refused to be bowed by their illustrious opponents and hit back in dramatic style in the 55th minute. Should goalkeeper Joel Drommel have done better? Inigo Cordoba certainly hit the ball - and hard. The home fans were starting to sense a famous victory was a distinct possibility. But such hopes were dashed when Marco van Ginkel scored what proved to be the winner in the 86th minute. Victory moves PSV up to second with 15 points - one adrift of Ajax.
