According to reports, Juventus is the frontrunner in the race to capture Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic during the summer transfer window.
Pulisic's £58 million move from Borussia Dortmund to Stamford Bridge in 2019 was seen as a big coup for the Premier League heavy weights.
Since then, the US international has contributed 26 goals and 21 assists in 145 games across all competitions, most notably during Chelsea's Champions League-winning season in 2020-21.
Injuries and a failure to convert huge chances in high-profile games, on the other hand, have harmed Pulisic's image among the club's fanbase and a number of different coaches.
Only nine of his 29 Premier League and Champions League appearances in 2022-23 came from the starting lineup, and he played only 925 minutes in those tournaments.
Pulisic's contract is set to expire in just over a year, and none of the parties involved are expected to press for an extension during the summer.
With that in mind, the 24-year-old will be permitted to leave the West Londoners in the coming weeks, with no shortage of suitors expected.
Nonetheless, according to ESPN, Juventus are considered the frontrunners for his signature.
According to the source, Chelsea is willing to take a £20 million fee for the versatile attacker, which is less than half of what they spent for him four years ago.
While Juventus would not match his salaries at Chelsea, it is believed that a deal is more likely than not to be made.
The Italian giants face a rebuilding phase this summer, with points deductions preventing them from competing in the Champions League in 2023-24.
Angel Di Maria and Juan Cuadrado must be replaced, and the long-term future of striker Dusan Vlahovic is in doubt.
Manchester United, Newcastle United, and Napoli are allegedly among the clubs that have been advised of Pulisic's availability.
