Football News: Harry Kane 'has no interest in Paris Saint-Germain move'

According to a source, Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has no desire to join Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

So far, the England captain has showed no interest in extending his current Spurs deal, which expires at the conclusion of the 2023-24 season.

Kane is not believed to be attempting to force a move away from North London after his unsuccessful attempt in 2021, but Spurs fear losing him on a free transfer in less than a year.

Nonetheless, chairman Daniel Levy is confident Harry Kane will not be sold this summer, and he has not given up hope of re-signing the club's all-time leading goalscorer to new terms worth up to £400,000 per week.

Bayern Munich are trying hard to get Kane to the Allianz Arena and have already had two bids rejected, but honorary president Uli Hoeness has voiced confidence that a deal will be struck.

Given Levy's reluctance to sell to a Premier League opponent, a move to Manchester United is no longer considered as a realistic option, although PSG has also been mentioned as a destination where Kane may finally complete his silverware goals.

It was said that PSG were willing to go to any length to lure the striker to the Parc des Princes, and that money would not be an issue for the Ligue 1 winners.

According to The Telegraph, Kane is not considering a move to the French capital at this time and would reject any approach from Les Parisiens this summer.

As a result, Bayern Munich appear to be in a straight struggle with Tottenham for Kane's services, with the England captain's ambition to break Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League goalscoring record giving Spurs an advantage.

Kane presently has 213 Premier League goals, 47 fewer than Shearer's long-standing record of 260, which he may realistically break with another two strong scoring seasons.

Nonetheless, Kane is thought to be open to a move to Bayern, who may still have to pay at least £100 million despite the fact that a bidding war is currently improbable.

Despite the continued doubts over his future, Kane has joined Tottenham for their Asia-Pacific tour, and he is said to be impressed with Ange Postecoglou's early impact.

The new Tottenham Hotspur manager recently said that he had a "good chat" with Kane about his vision for the club's future, but it remains uncertain whether he can be persuaded to sign a new contract.

With Kane ruling out a move to Ligue 1, PSG are reportedly eyeing Juventus' Dusan Vlahovic, however the Serbian is also said to be on Tottenham's list of potential Kane replacements.

Tottenham's debut game under Postecoglou will be against London rivals West Ham United in Perth on Tuesday, and Kane is set to lead the charge.
