Cristiano Ronaldo has no plans to bring down the curtain on his football career in the near future, saying in a recent interview: "I hope to play many, many years more." Ronaldo will turn 36 in February, but the Juventus and Portugal star is currently in a positive place, both physically and mentally: "I feel still good, sharp and, in a good moment in my life." Portugal will be defending champions in next year's rescheduled European Championship after winning the competition for the first time in 2016. Reflecting on the 'Selecao's' chances of a successful title defence, Ronaldo said: "It will be tough. But we are a good team, we are a young team. We have a fantastic coach. So we're very, very, very positive on that to be honest." Ronaldo also discussed playing matches in empty stadiums, which he likened to going to the circus and not seeing any clowns.
