Reaction from the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday after Manchester City thrashed mid-table Newcastle United 5-0 in the English Premier League. 34 year-old David Silva, who is departing at the end of the season after 10 years at City, rolled back the years by finding the net from a free kick and setting up two more goals for Pep Guardiola's side. Gabriel Jesus and Riyad Mahrez scored in the opening 21 minutes, an own goal by Newcastle defender Federico Fernandez made it 3-0 and after Silva's strike, Raheem Sterling wrapped up an easy win in stoppage time. City tightened their grip on second place in the standings as they moved nine points ahead of third-placed Chelsea with four matches remaining. City have won 3-0, 5-0, 4-0 and now 5-0 in their four home matches since the season restarted.
