Football: Chelsea can rely on Werner - Lampard

Frank Lampard said he was very happy after Chelsea beat Newcastle United 2-0 at St James' Park to go top of the Premier League but urged players to keep working. The Blues found themselves ahead when Federico Fernandez turned Mason Mount's cross into the net on 10 minutes. But the win was assured when Timo Werner beat three players to find Tammy Abraham, who converted to make it 2-0, just past the hour. "We need to keep working to keep going because consistency is what we really will strive for. It's a short period of games that we've been consistent and that needs to continue," Lampard said.
