Marcus Rashford has revealed that former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has been supportive of his free school meals campaign. Rashford received the FWA (Football Writers' Association) Tribute Award on Thursday which recognises his work off the pitch in the last 12 months. The United forward has led a campaign in England to ensure vunerable children have access to free meals over the school holidays during the coronavirus pandemic. "When other people in sport were telling me not to do it, focus on football, he said if I believed in it and I believe it's the right really to do then he's behind it," said Rashford on Ferguson's support.
