Cricket News : Sri Lanka to host Australia for a full series ahead of the T20 World Cup

Sri Lanka have confirmed that Australia would pay a complete tour visit to the country in June-July 2022, with the teams competing in three Twenty20 Internationals, five One-Day Internationals, and two Tests.
The tour will be Australia's first visit to Lanka's home ground in five years. All of the games will be held in Colombo, Kandy, and Galle, with Galle hosting both Test matches one after another.

The Lions will host the Aussies for 3- T20, 5- One-Day Internationals 2- Test matches.
The tour will be held in the month of June-July before the T20 World Cup going to take place in Australia later this year.
The tour begins on June 7 with a pair of Twenty20 Internationals at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
Both the teams will then travel to Kandy for the 3rd T20 & first two ODIs.
After returning to Colombo again for the 3 ODIs, the players will travel to Galle for the 2-match Test series, which begins from 29th June.
The last time Australia visited Sri Lanka, they were blanked 3-0 in the Tests.

As of now, the Australian and Sri Lankan players will be involved in the upcoming IPL 2022.
The 15th edition of IPL will be an important one for every team in terms of squad selection for the World Cup.
The new season of IPL begins from 26th March 2022 will commence until the end of May 2022.
