Punjab registered their first win after six defeats and only their 2nd win of the season as they decimated Bangalore by 8 wickets. Bangalore won the toss and opted to bat first. Chris Morris and Isuru Udana's blistering batting towards the end helped Bangalore their side cross the 150-run mark and post a fighting total of 171/6 in 20 overs. Chasing the 172-run target, Punjab were off to a flying start as skipper KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal once again did what they have been doing so far, adding 56 runs in power plays. Agarwal's knock contained four boundaries and three sixes. Chris Gayle playing his first match of the season scored 53. Gayle and Rahul shared a crucial 93-run partnership for the second wicket, steering their side closer towards a much-needed win.
