Cricket News: Harbhajan Singh wants Rinku and Jaiswal in Indian Side

Many young players have excelled and contributed significantly to their teams' success in the IPL 2023. However, Rinku Singh and Yashasvi Jaiswal appear to have drawn the most attention with their performances. Fans and analysts are urging them to be named to the Indian National team for a number of future assignments.

Rinku and Jaiswal have undoubtedly been among the players who have made a name for themselves with their success in the current season.

Former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh noted that if someone is performing well at this level, they should be included in the system, citing the duo's vital contribution to their respective sides. He also emphasised that keeping both of these players in the picture and around the club will help them learn new things and eventually improve.

The 42-year-old also thought that because Jaiswal and Rinku have been playing well at his level, the BCCI should capitalise on their form.

"I certainly believe that when somebody is playing well or doing well, they should be part of the system. I am not saying that include them in the Playing XI straightway but brings them into the fold knowing that if these guys are there (around the players), they will certainly learn something and get better,"

Harbhajan, who is an expert with Star Sports, official TV broadcaster of IPL 2023, told Hindustan Times.

"I feel this is probably the right time for Rinku and Yashasvi to be in the closer group of players. Make them part of the 20 or 30-man group. For talents like Yashasvi and Rinku, the perception might be it's too early but truth be told, it's not. They are already playing at this level and playing well at that. Give them a chance right now otherwise it might be late,"

He added.

It is not the first time that people have discussed the relevance of IPL performers. Suryakumar Yadav, Mohammed Siraj, Hardik Pandya, and Jasprit Bumrah all had outstanding IPL seasons, which impressed the selectors and led to them being called up to play for India.

Both players have been in red-hot form this season, with Rinku Singh scoring 407 runs and Jaiswal scoring 575 runs, and are among the top contenders for the IPL Orange Cap List.
