Cricket News : England's Jack Leach on being 'sledged' by Aussie fans

Left-arm spinner Jack Leach's Ashes moment is more as a batter - or rather for being the junior partner in the last wicket partnership with Ben Stokes to guide England to one of their most famous win at Headingley in 2019.

It was only understandable that Leach spoke about Ben Stokes and how is still in awe of the all-rounder's skills in the middle.

The wet weather has robbed the England team of crucial training time in the lead-in to the first Test at Gabba, that starts next week.

Leach, however, has found creative ways to be on top of the situation. The left armer said, "I'm not shy of bowling in my hotel room anyway, so yeah, in front of the mirror ...there's been a little bit of that."

Leach said he would try and take pointers from the way Indian spinners, especially left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja, bowled in Australia last summer and found success.

Persistent rain prevented any play on the second day of England's intra-squad game in Brisbane on Wednesday.
