Cricket News: Delhi Capitals beat Mumbai Indians by 37 runs

A change in name might indicate a change in fortune but only time will tell but last night at the Wankhede Stadium it was the Delhi Capitals show as the side lead by Shreyas Iyer thrashed home favourite Mumbai Indians by 37 runs to get their IPL campaign off to a fantastic start as they beat Mumbai by 37 runs. Despite being rocked early when Delhi lost youngster Prithvi Shaw and captain Shreyas Iyer early, opener Shikhar Dhawan and Colin Ingram stitched a valuable 83 runs partnership to give Delhi some much-needed momentum after which the Pant destroyed the Mumbai bowling line up to score an unbeaten 78 off just 27 balls.
