Cricket News: 3rd Test: India draw Australia with incredible batting performance

The third Test match between Australia and India at the Sydney Cricket Ground resulted in a draw hence keeping the four-match series levelled at 1-1. The incredible innings by Ravichandran Ashwin (39*) and Hunuma Vihari(23*) put Indian side into a complete comfort zone after the match started sliding towards Australia’s court. The final day of the third Test started with stand-in skipper Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara on the crease where Rahane was seen walking towards the aisle right in the second over of the day, where he was caught by Matthew Wade on Nathon Lyon’s delivery. Pujara then tried to build up the momentum but later got clean bowled on Hazelwood’s delivery. Rishab Pant then played some quick shots to cover up the gigantic target posted by Tim Paine & Co. but fell three runs short of his century on Lyon’s delivery. It was Hanuma Vihari and Ashwin who had the responsibility of if not winning the match, at least take it towards the draw, and that’s what the duo did, slowly and steadily these two kept defending the ball and made sure the Australian bowlers are tired enough to lose their speed and accuracy on the wicket. Overs kept passing by and Indian batters on the crease ended the match in a draw.
